Got caught out by that train ticket scam once more. Bloody annoying!

I got a call from a lady who kept thanking me for purchasing tickets on East Midland trains - which I definitely did not. This has happened to me a few times now, so I quickly realised it was one of those bank scams.

Got a voicemail about some international payment stuff, asking me to hit a number... definitely not sneaky. Feels pretty dodgy to me.

This number just called me with some automated voice about a train ticket I supposedly booked and how much it cost. They told me to press a button if I thought something was off. Are these scammers ever gonna stop? It's getting annoying.

Total scam, no doubt. But it’s kinda pointless when the people working there can’t even speak proper English. Makes you wonder what the point is really.

Called while I was out but left no voicemail, so I’m just gonna block and get rid of it.

Had a really similar thing happen to me - first they tried to hit me with a £300 fee, then later on a whopping £1000 sneaked into my accounts. Definitely felt like a total scam. Does anyone know if it’s possible to get that number blocked or shut down?

Got a call from a woman with a heavy Asian accent, and you could tell she was in some noisy call centre. She said she was from a telephone refund team, claiming I was owed about £425 back because I’d overpaid. When I asked her which company, she said BT. She then tried to confirm some info, starting with asking if I was Mrs, then mixed up my first name as my last name. Then she tried to get my address, but when I gave an old one, she just cut the call. Total scam, very dodgy! 😡😡😡

Got a ring from this number about 9 in the morning, and the moment I heard the recorded message I knew it was dodgy. A woman’s voice was claiming there’d been charges taken from my bank account, including a £300 payment to Amazon. They then told me to press 1 if I didn’t know about these payments, but I just hung up straight away. Whenever I get calls like this, I always look up the number here first, then block and remove it to be safe.

I noticed the call came through on the landline but didn’t answer it since it wasn’t ringing properly. Phones just don’t ring right with certain calls. Looked up the number afterwards and found this site! I’m based in Kent, near Tunbridge Wells.

Got an automated call saying my bank had noticed a £300 charge from Amazon and a £1000+ cash transfer today. I was told to press 1 to cancel or 2 to speak to someone. I just hung up and looked at my online banking, but there was nothing like that at all.

I got this call from someone with a strange accent, trying to get me to give out my personal details. They claimed I had paid too much for something and that I needed to claim a refund. Felt dodgy to me.

Another one of those dodgy calls trying to nick cash straight from your bank account.

Around half past 11 in the morning, I had a missed call but didn't pick up and they didn’t bother leaving a message. Then, I got another call straight after from 01793 326868, which I also ignored. Curiosity got the better of me so I rang the number back on an old spare phone that hardly ever gets turned on, but the line was dead, saying the number wasn’t active. Seems pretty shady to me, like those two calls are connected and just another dodgy scam.

Got a call saying there was a big payment made to Amazon on my bank account, which sounded dodgy. They wanted me to press 1 or 2 to “talk to their team” but something didn't sit right. I checked my bank thoroughly and found no such transaction. Looks like a scam trying to trick you into handing info over. Lucky I ignored it and just deleted the message straight away.

I answered an incoming call on my work phone and got an automated voice saying it was from the bank's security team. It mentioned two odd transactions - one charging £300 with Amazon, the other for £1100 sent abroad via some money transfer site. The message asked me to press 1 if I wanted to block these payments or 2 to talk to someone. These scam calls keep popping up nearly every week, always coming from a new phone number.

This was clearly a dodgy call. Whenever they open with “You’ve won money” and tell you to press 1, it’s a scam for sure. Best thing to do? Just hang up straight away and ignore any of their messages.

Got a recorded message asking me to verify a train ticket purchase from St Pancras station, telling me to press 1 if it was me. I just hung up straight away. I get these kinds of calls all the time, but this one was a bit different. Usually, it’s someone pretending to be from my bank or Amazon. Honestly, I’m so sick of these scams. It’s pathetic that these scoundrels don’t try to earn an honest living.

I got a call saying there was some weird spending on my account, like £300 and £1250, but I haven’t got any balance at all so that sounded pretty dodgy. They kept offering choices to connect me to someone who ended up being useless and trying to rip me off. Total scam, stay away!
