They rang me at 07:45 but I didn’t pick up, and then they just ended the call. Not long before, I’d had a call from a number much like this one, with someone pretending to be from Microsoft saying my PC was under attack right now!! I told them to get lost and hung up straight away.

I never answered these calls myself, but i remember one time years back i actually listened to what they said. They seemed pretty convincing about my computer problems. Then they got me to connect remotely to “fix” it or whatever and ended up billing me £150! Honestly, it was a stupid mistake on my part and definitely won’t fall for it again. Just thought I’d warn others!

Got a call from a young bloke speaking with an American twang, saying he was from Microsoft and needed to talk about my PC. I couldn’t help meself and played along, making my voice all deep and daft, like some old confused bloke. Kept saying ‘hello’ over and over, then threw in ‘sorry, good boy, I don’t even own a computer. Where are you? Were you planning to visit?’ The poor lad, proper humourless, just hung up before I could chuck in ‘does your mum know what you’re up to?’ Bet another one will call soon, eager for that question.

So, I got a call from some bloke claiming to be Peter from “Microsoft”. He asked if I was Mrs Carrington, which I found pretty bizarre since my voice doesn’t match hers at all - plus, she sadly died earlier this year. Then he started banging on about having issues with the computer. When I replied with a cheeky “What's actually wrong with it?” he just hung up on me. Totally a scam, and I doubt his name’s even Peter - probably something else like Ranjit. Definitely shady business!

Got one of those typical Microsoft scammers on the line again, insisting that even though I'm on a Mac, my computer is somehow running Microsoft. This time they were super pushy, even handed me over to some “supervisor” who went on and on with the usual nonsense for ages. I told him straight up I knew he was a scammer, that I’m fed up with these scam calls every week, and that I’d already looked up the number and it’s linked to scams. Predictably, he denied everything, so I just played along for a bit before hanging up. Then, unbelievably, they called me back AGAIN after I’d already ended the call the first time!

I’m not one to pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, but I was expecting a ring from my doctor, so I answered without thinking. It was a woman with an Asian accent, saying my computer had been hacked or something. I just let her ramble on, she barely paused for breath! Then she tells me I have to go all the way to Reading to get it sorted out! I told her if my computer needed fixing, I wouldn’t be leaving my house, let alone hopping on a train to England. She kept telling me she was just trying to help and all that. When I said I was fine and didn’t need any help, she called me a rude name (being kind here) and ended the call. I keep gettin these annoying calls from someone with an Asian accent claiming my computer’s been hacked. It’s the same script every time, just non-stop cold calls. Really getting on my nerves now.

Had a call from some bloke called Kevin claiming to be from Microsoft. Said there was an issue with my computer, which is rubbish because I don’t even own one. Told him off good. Definitely a total scam.

Honestly, I’m so fed up with these lot and their nonsense. They keep ringing trying stuff out. This call came through at 7:33 on a Saturday morning and I didn’t even pick up.

Got a call just before 9 in the morning from someone claiming to be from Microsoft about my PC. The bloke had a decent voice but definitely had an accent I couldn't place. I gave him a fair piece of my mind in straight Scottish and told him exactly what I thought of him. Can’t say I feel too sorry for people like that (they're worse than pests), but it really winds me up that these scammers seem to be untouchable because the government doesn’t seem bothered to deal with them.

Got a call just as I was waking up at 7 in the morning. Decided to look up the number since early morning rings usually mean it’s a scammer. So annoying! 😡

Got a call at 9:34 in the morning, some lady with a strong Asian accent claimed my computer had picked up harmful stuff online recently. I let her go on for a bit before telling her I was onto her scam and that I was ending the call right then.

I let the call go to voicemail and then looked up the number afterwards.

Got a call from a lady claiming she was from Microsoft. She was pretty pushy, kept telling me to open my laptop and look at the licence number. I kept refusing but she wouldn’t back off. Asked her to ring me tomorrow instead. Didn’t pick up when she did, ended up with like 24 missed calls. Even now, she’s still ringing my landline while I’m typing this.

They rang me twice, once yesterday and then again just after 7 this morning. Left voicemail both times but no message was left.

Got a call claiming to be from Microsoft earlier. I pretended to be interested and asked how to fix the virus issue they said I had. When they told me to get on my computer, I refused. Then they warned that if I didn’t, my Microsoft licence would be cancelled and I’d need to visit their office in Reading. I told them fine, go ahead then. They just hung up on me, lol!

Got a weird call where it was dead silent, then some sort of robotic voice just said goodbye and hung up. Think I must have irritated someone with a scam call earlier - I've had loads of dodgy calls lately! One time, some bloke was going on about a "recent accident" I supposedly had, claiming he had my details right in front of him. Spent a few minutes telling him he had no right to that info and demanded to know where he got it from. Eventually, I told him I never had an accident. He replied, "You couldn’t have told me that ten minutes ago? I wouldn’t have wasted all this time!" I just said, "Well now you see how it feels."

Got a call just after 8 pm, didn’t pick up and left the phone to go to voicemail. If it's something real, they could’ve left a message, but nope, nothing. Just another annoying scam call.

They picked up on the answerphone at 08:11 but didn’t leave any voicemail. I’ve just gone and blocked the number now.

Got a call bright and early at 8 in the morning from someone saying they wanted to help with computer issues. Seemed like a total spam call, I wasn’t sure what the intention was, but as soon as I started throwing questions back at the caller, they just hung up. The person sounded American, so might have been one of those spoofed numbers.
