Got a call on my mobile from an Aberdeen number, but it was definitely a scam about a car accident. The person on the phone, who sounded like they might be African, was asking for someone who definitely wasn’t me. I told them straight I wasn't falling for their rubbish and then they just hung up. I like to mess with them by saying I was in a crash with a Premier League player who owned up straight away and handed me £2000 cash from his car glovebox to cover the damages, asking me not to tell his insurance since it wasn’t the first time. I don’t reveal the player’s name, but they start bombarding me with questions. I keep it going for a bit, and after around 15 minutes, I say I need to dash or I’ll be late for my appointment with my mental health nurse. That’s usually when they hang up. Honestly, it’s quite entertaining to mess around with them like this.

I got a call from someone asking if I was a certain person - I didn’t give a straight answer, but obviously that wasn’t my name. I tried to keep them talking by asking loads of questions, and they said it was regarding a car accident I’d supposedly been in. So I asked for details like which accident and what kind of car. They claimed they couldn’t share any info due to some “GDPR” rules (which I actually deal with at work!). I found it quite amusing because the number they called is actually registered with the Telephone Preference Service, meaning they were calling me illegally. After that, they just hung up on me.
