Is the TPS even doing anything? Today I’ve gotten three calls from numbers that all look pretty similar. I’ve gone ahead and blocked every single one through my phone, then switched on Call Guardian so callers need to identify themselves before it goes through. Bit annoying for my mates and relatives, but fingers crossed it’ll scare these lot off.

Got a call on Saturday arvo about some boiler deal again. Told them outright, I’m not on benefits and if I ever needed a new boiler, I’d pick the company myself. I can’t stand these phone salespeople ringing up all the time. They’re just as annoying as those charity collectors who hassle me down the high street. Seriously, why on earth would I hand over my bank info to some random person? Honestly, this whole thing’s turning into a right farce.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Energy Solutions, saying they wanted to thank me with vouchers for a call I supposedly made last year - though I don’t remember it at all. I cut him off to ask what the company actually does. He started talking about saving me money by giving me vouchers, but I stopped him again, pushing for a straight answer on what the company really is. After that, he just hung up. These days, cold callers seem really weak - no grit left in them. Takes all the fun out of it, sadly. :(

This bloke, very nice, claimed he was with Home Energy Solutions. Somehow he knew my name despite me being unlisted - feels like my info’s being passed around somewhere! He asked if I was aware of some IHI scheme (seemed a bit dodgy to me) and if I had solar panels installed. Seems like solar panels are becoming the new thing to hassle people about, like double glazing or PPI used to be. I told him I wasn’t interested and to take me off their calling list. Funny thing, my phone showed the call came from 001223, some international code, not the usual Cambridge 01223 area.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from energy solutions, they asked for me by name. I told them I wasn’t that person and told them to stop ringing me. Could hear other people chatting in the background. I’m registered with TPS so why am I still getting calls? This system clearly isn’t doing its job. Oh, and by the way, the 01223 code is Cambridge. Honestly, these idiots deserve a slap for wasting my time.

Let them keep ringing, after reading what others have said about their antics. Cheers for the heads-up! I hardly ever block numbers since they just switch them anyway, making it useless to clog up my phone’s memory. Meanwhile, they’re just wasting their own time - what miserable creatures.

On 28th July 2017, I picked up without looking at the caller ID. A young bloke called me by my name straight away, but when I asked who he was, he rudely replied it was none of my concern! He kept saying goodbye a few times but didn’t actually hang up and was still chuckling and chatting when I ended the call. Not once did he say who he was.

Someone called telling me they were from Energy Solutions and thanked me for finishing some survey. Then, they said they wanted to give me a voucher as a thank you and asked if I was the homeowner and my address. I don’t remember doing any survey and told them I wasn’t interested. They just ended the call. Felt a bit dodgy to me.
