I received a rather alarming call, supposedly from HMRC, claiming that I owed unpaid taxes. They mentioned something about tax fraud and evasion, threatening that a warrant for my arrest had been issued. To top it off, they proposed to connect me to the Ministry of Justice to sort out a payment. Yet, no specifics were provided, and the line went dead. Moments later, I got another call purportedly from the Ministry of Justice (0203 334 3555) regarding the payment. Once again, there were no clear details and the call was abruptly terminated. What a dodgy situation!
