Got a call from Motorlet about a car lease I enquired about. My existing lease is through them and coming up for renewal soon. So yeah, this one was totally legit for me.

The person on the other end requested sensitive information, which I found rather unsettling, so I decided to terminate the conversation.

I received a call from this number. The caller never said who they were, only said they were doing some kind of survey. When I asked how they got my number, they said it came from a public listing. I politely asked them to take my number off their list, but they told me to get in touch with the police if I wanted it removed and then they just ended the call.

Got a call from someone who didn’t even know my name, said it wasn’t important since it was “just a survey.” Then suddenly they wanted my name! Nah, no thanks. The voice was super thick accented, sounded like it came from one of those call centres, maybe India or somewhere like that. Bit annoying but didn’t seem dangerous, just trying to fish for info I reckon.

Got a call from Premier Lifestyle Survey, and the guy was convinced we’d spoken already, even though I’m sure we hadn’t. He mentioned a name that wasn’t even mine. Then he pressured me to say my name, saying it was all GDPR safe. I told him I wasn’t obliged to share it. Asked him to take me off their list.

He kept using my name and just wouldn’t take me seriously when I told him the cops were on the line. Only when I kept saying it was the police he finally got quiet and hung up. This bloke kept calling my mother-in-law, who's pretty old. Last time he rang, he said he'd keep ringing her daily until she answered his questions. They say they're registered in Guyana. When I checked the web address, it looked like it was up for sale??? Other people’s stories made me even more doubtful about this.
