‭01226 006753‬ rang, and this woman claimed she knew me and had some kind of feeling that I was about to crash my car! Problem is, I’ve never met her before!

I got a couple of calls on my phone, about 10 minutes between them, first from 01223 181741 then 01223 187006. They said they were from some company named Agile and told me I’d been involved in an accident. I've blocked both those numbers now.

A lady with a British accent said she was calling from this place called Agile, telling me I’d been involved in an accident which supposedly wasn’t my fault. I told her I hadn’t been in any accident, but she just acted like she didn’t catch that and asked if I could hear her. Then she went on asking when the accident happened. I told her again I hadn’t had any accident and that they must have got the wrong number. She just hung up on me straight away.

How on earth do these folks even get hold of your number? I didn’t pick up, I usually don’t answer unknown calls anyway. No clue who they were, so I just went ahead and blocked them.

012223179289 has rung my phone 3 times straight with about a minute between calls over the last 3 days. Ive blocked the number now but it keeps trying to get through. The calls come from Arrington, Cambridge. Dont pick up, they dont leave a voicemail or anything.

The bloke who mentioned my number’s been spoofed isn’t wrong but Virgin Media said the only option is to get a new number. It’s been reported to Action Fraud too, but they can’t help either. Proper nightmare.

to the person sayin they dont know how but someone’s usin their virgin media landline number for calls, same thing here. i’m gettin loads of calls every minute from mobiles asking why i’m callin them - i aint. it’s really stressful gettin all these. sorry to anyone bothered by this, your number’s gettin faked like mine was. best thing to do is ring up your landline provider, tell them whats goin on and ask them to fix it.

No idea how it’s happening, but somehow my Virgin Media landline is being used to make these calls. I’m getting calls almost every minute from mobiles asking why I’m calling them. I’m not the one doing it, and having all these calls coming in is really stressing me out. Sorry to anyone it’s bothering.
