This number has called me a few times before and every time it just hangs up as soon as my answering machine kicks in. I’ve decided to block it now.

I reckon this was one of those clever chat bots. The voice was pretty convincing, almost like talking to a real person, but as soon as I threw in a question they probably hadn’t got answers for, it switched to some other recorded spiel. I asked the same thing again, and then it just played another prerecorded line, said they couldn’t assist me, and then hung up. Not really sure what they were after, but it felt quite dodgy, like a scam to me.

It really seemed like a person on the line, asking if I still owned the house. I ended up just cutting the call off since I've had loads of those energy scam calls lately.

Had a call from someone named Martin, claimed to be from Rethinkenergy.co.uk. He kept asking if I owned the house and stuff like how old we were, trying to talk about our energy usage and whether we had gas mains. Said they’d send someone to have a free look at the loft, roof, and insulation around the place. I told them I wasn’t interested right now. Then a lady called Amber got on the phone, was quite polite and said that was alright. Honestly, feels a bit dodgy to me, like some sort of scam. The number they rang from was 01223850915.

I received a rather clever automated call that mimicked a real person remarkably well. When I threw a question at it that didn't align with its preset responses, the tone suddenly shifted, and after another query, it abruptly informed me that it was unable to assist me any further before hanging up. I can't shake the feeling that this might be a dubious effort to fish for personal details or something equally questionable.

Got two calls back to back on the exact same time, both times no voicemail left. Just gone straight to blocked now.
