The number shows up as local to me, but when I tried calling it back, the operator said it wasn’t recognised. Turns out it’s connected to an Amazon scam. I got an automated call claiming I’d been scammed and urged to ring their so-called control centre. I checked my bank accounts - everything was fine, no scam at all. They often use local area codes to make you pick up. This one was from a landline number too.
