A lady claimed that I completed some sort of internet questionnaire and received some sort of reward for it. She had my name and various details about me, yet I’ve never participated in any online survey! How on earth could this happen?

My computer seems to have been mentioned somewhere... They just cut the call abruptly.

Looks like scammers from Asia are at it again. Watch out, these folks are running scams!

You should just say, "How could you?!" and then she’ll probably realise how impolite she’s been and feel bad about it.

I told her I’m on the TPS so she shouldn’t be ringing me, and she just snapped at me saying “How dare you!” then told me to shut up. Proper rude woman.

Wasn't able to pick up when this number rang, then out of nowhere got a text from Apple with some code saying not to share it. Didn’t ask for any of it. Looks like there’s loads of dodgy people about today trying their luck. Watch out everyone!

Don’t fall for the Help to Buy programme! It’s supposed to help new buyers in England get an equity loan from the government for newly built homes, but honestly, they’re just out to scam you. Stay clear!

So I got a call from this Help to Buy firm, but they clearly hadn’t checked properly because I don’t even have a mortgage anymore. The convo ended with me just hanging up on them. What’s weird is that they somehow had my private number! No clue how that happened.

Watch out, the Help to Buy - Equity Loan sounds like a scam to me. Got a call recently and they kept pushing for personal info, sounded fishy. I’d be really careful with anyone offering something like that over the phone, could be a con. Don't trust callers like that, better to check with official sources first.

Had a quick look into this Help to Buy thing - it’s a gov scheme aimed at folks buying their first home. Basically, you only need to put down 5% deposit, which is pretty good, and then you can borrow up to 20% of the price (or even 40% if you’re in London) without interest for the first five years. Just found out you gotta apply before 31 March 2023 though, so don’t miss out if you’re thinking about it.

On the 1st of April 2021, the updated Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme kicked off. Aimed mainly at first-time buyers, it features property price caps that vary by region to target those who really need the support. This revamped scheme is set to last until March 2023. Similar to the older version, the government offers loans of up to 20% for newly built homes outside London, while in London, the loan can be as much as 40%.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent asking for me by name. I kept asking who it was but he just kept repeating if I was there. When I asked again who he was, he started sounding annoyed and rude, going on about if I was available. In the end, I just ended the call. If someone won’t say who they are, I’m not interested in chatting!

Received a rather dodgy phone call today! The caller seemed to have my name, address, and even my postcode-it was all a bit too intrusive. They claimed they wanted to ask me three questions, but when I probed about their identity and how they obtained my number, they got evasive. I insisted they clarify where they’d got my details from, and I firmly requested they stop ringing me and take me off whatever list they were using. Just as I was about to get to the bottom of it, they abruptly hung up. So, I've added yet another number to my ever-growing block list-it's becoming a proper nuisance, isn’t it?

I recently had a similar experience. A woman claimed that I had participated in an online survey, which supposedly explained how they acquired my information. It was quite unnerving, as she continually interrupted me when I declined to respond to the three questions she posed. It’s rather alarming to think about how they obtained our personal details and what their intentions might be with that information.
