On 26 October 2021, around 3:30 in the afternoon, I got a call from a number starting with 01223, which I thought was based in Cambridge. When I answered with a simple "Hello", a man who sounded like he might be of Indian background asked if I was Mr Xxxxx Yyyyyyy and politely requested a minute of my time. After a short silence of about 10 seconds, I replied with "Ten seconds" to see if he was serious. He kept insisting on getting a full minute, so I upped it to "Fifteen seconds". That’s when the tone changed completely. The caller got rather offensive and said, "Oh, just be quiet if you’re going to be daft. Get lost and hang up." Then he abruptly ended the call. Seems like he wasn’t really interested in helping or selling anything after all.
