When I picked up the phone and greeted the caller, a man with a noticeable Indian accent asked if he could speak to Mr Xxxxx Yyyyyyy and if he could trouble me for just a minute. After a brief silence of about ten seconds, I quipped back, “Ten seconds.” The caller insisted on asking for a whole minute once more, to which I cheekily replied, “Fifteen seconds.” At this point, the caller turned rather unpleasant, exclaiming, “Oh, just shut up if you’re going to be silly. Just p**s off and hang up!” He then abruptly ended the call. It seems he wasn’t genuinely interested in assisting me or promoting anything, to be honest.
