I use a nanny phone, which requires callers to provide their name and address before they can reach me. It’s quite handy, really, as I can simply discard any calls that aren’t deemed worthy enough to get through.

Received a call from this number, and they requested to have a word with me. However, when I probed a couple of times about the purpose of the call, the connection just dropped. Looks like I’ve stumbled upon yet another fraudulent scheme.

Didn’t leave a message on my voicemail. Clearly a dodgy call, judging by what others have said. I've now blocked the number.

Had a bit of an oddball phone call the other day. There was someone on the line, speaking with a distinctly Asian accent, keen to verify my card information. Seemed rather dodgy if you ask me!

No message was left. It's almost guaranteed to be a scam call.

I received a call from 01223678700 - an Indian gentleman on the line. He claimed that my call-blocking service was about to lapse and insisted he could help me resolve the issue. However, he was rather cagey about revealing the name of the company behind it all. I had a hunch that something was off, so I called him out as a scammer and promptly ended the conversation.

I appreciate your help; now I can dismiss that call with the disdain it truly warrants. Straight in the bin!

Received a call from this number with no one on the line. Quite baffling, really.

Rang me twice in quick succession, only ten minutes apart, which felt rather alarming. They simply wouldn't accept my refusal. Eventually, I decided to end the call.

A chap from India just informed me that starting tomorrow, I’ll be free from scam calls for good. Absolutely hilarious!

I received a call from a woman with a foreign accent who mentioned it was the right moment to renew my call-blocking service. She promised it would put an end to those pesky unwanted calls. I couldn’t help but point out the irony that she was calling me and that her call was quite bothersome. At that point, she just hung up! 😂😂😂😂

Another call with nothing but silence on the other end. How frustrating! 😞

On the 24th of January 2019, I received a call from 01223678700, which claimed to be regarding an upgrade to the Telephone Blocking System. When I asked them to hold on while I fetched another member of the household, they abruptly ended the call before I could return. Quite unsettling, if you ask me.

Absolutely infuriating! This number rang me five times yesterday, and here we are, doing it again today. Give it a rest already!

Rang me thrice yesterday! We've decided to keep a whistle handy by the phone for the next call.

I received a barrage of silent calls on my voicemail today, and I foolishly got drawn in when they claimed to be from BT. I nearly divulged my card's expiry date since they already had my card number, but I hesitated when they began probing for my account details. Just a heads up – they’re quite cunning, and it’s quite unsettling how much personal information they seemed to possess!

I answered a call from a gent with a strong foreign accent, hailing from 01223678700, who said he was representing the telephone preference service. Struggling to grasp what he was saying, I decided to hang up the call. Next time, I might just give him a taste of some proper Cockney slang!

I've no clue who the caller was since my answering machine took the call and they didn't bother to leave a message. I took a look at the comments on here and decided to block the number straight away. Honestly, these blokes could do with a serious reality check!

Received four calls attempting to extract my wife's credit card details. They claimed to be affiliated with the Telephone Preference Service, supposedly extending to overseas call centres. I had no choice but to tell them to shove it where the sun doesn’t shine.

I encountered an Indian woman touting a rather pricey package for blocking nuisance calls, claiming to represent the Telephone Preference Service. Quite the interesting hustle, if you ask me!

I received a rather unsavoury call from this individual yesterday and they've just ringed me again twice in the last ten minutes! The moment they started prattling on about my debit card, I cut the conversation short and promptly came to have a look on this site. Honestly, the nerve of some people! The number in question is 01223678700. Just absolute rotters!

I received a call from someone purporting to represent the Telephone Preference Service – definitely sounds a bit dodgy! If you get a similar call, I recommend blocking them if you can.

Similar to what others have mentioned, I received a call from a chap who purported to be associated with TPS. He seemed to have my name and home address on hand, which was rather unsettling. However, once he inquired about the expiry date on my debit card, I quickly realised it was nothing more than a ruse. I promptly let him know where to shove it. Best to steer clear of this number altogether!

I've received around six calls today from the number 01223678799. Whenever I pick up, they hang up immediately, and the number doesn’t seem to be recognised when I attempt to return the call. Quite perplexing, really!

I've received several calls today from someone purporting to be from BT, wanting me to pay £21.99 a month to prevent unwanted calls. They mentioned the first month would be free, but only after I've provided my banking details. It sounds a bit dodgy to me, and I’m rather fed up with the constant interruptions!

Received numerous calls today, and on just one occasion did I manage to catch someone on the line. They greeted me with a somewhat uncertain "hello," but that was enough for me to promptly add their number to my blocked list.

I received a cheeky call from a woman named Vanessa claiming to represent the Telephone Preference Service. She insisted that I was involved in some sort of criminal activity. Absolute nonsense! These are just scammers at work. I've promptly blocked the number.

This caller seemed to know my name but was quite reluctant to share their own before I verified mine. When I pressed for their identity, they abruptly ended the call, which makes me think it's probably a scam.

I had a call from that very number merely an hour ago. As soon as I answered with a “hello,” they hung up immediately.
