Got a call out of nowhere around half past five from someone saying they’re with Great Ormond Street, asking if I wanted to make a monthly donation. It just felt really fishy to me.

I got a voicemail from someone claiming to be with “Energy Savers.” At the same time, I could hear an older lady on the other end also being called by them, and she seemed really frazzled since she wasn’t able to hear the caller clearly. Honestly, if you’re gonna bother people with these calls, can’t you at least make sure your tech is functioning right?!

0203 951 0909 - received a call claiming to be from our "white goods" insurance provider. They presented a rather enticing deal: two years of cover for a mere £200, split into quarterly payments, with an upfront charge of £50 via credit card. Regrettably, we were convinced and ended up making the payment. I got nothing but quiet on the other end.

On the 8th of May, which happened to be a Wednesday, I received a call that went completely silent when I picked up. After a while, I decided to use the 1471 service to see who it might have been, and I was informed that there had been a call to me on that very day at 17:14. Oddly enough, the message simply told me to hang up. Quite strange, isn’t it?

this lady said her name was ursula and she claimed to be from energy savers, telling me about some grants available nearby. just when i was about to tell her off, the phone suddenly got cut off from their side!
