Got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, said there was a tax fraud issue linked to me. They told me to press 1 to sort it out or I'd be arrested straight away. Total rubbish. I just ended the call and blocked the number. When I tried calling it back, it asked me for an extension number and a 4-digit pin, which felt really dodgy.

Got a call yesterday from someone claiming to be from the visa security team, saying they'd stopped a payment of £600 to China. When I asked too many questions, they just hung up on me. I could hear fake office sounds in the background like they were trying to sound like a proper bank call centre.

This number has rung me a few times over the past couple of days. Didn’t answer because I didn’t know it, and they never left a voicemail either.

Got a call saying my visa had a £600 spend overseas and the card was frozen. The recording said to press 1 or 2, so I hit 1. Then some bloke with an Asian accent came on and I told him to do one.

This number has been calling me quite a few times this week, but every time I pick up, the line just goes dead. Pretty annoying!
