A chap claiming to be a BT engineer tried to reach out to me, stating there were some problems with my internet connection and he could assist. However, as I’m not even a BT customer, I quickly realised this was likely a scam!

This person said they were calling from BT about an issue with our internet, which was weird since we don’t even use BT. They asked me to follow loads of fake procedures to convince me they were legit. After that, they tried to get me to install Teamviewer so they could access my PC remotely, which felt super dodgy.

I got a call from a woman who was actually quite polite, no rudeness at all, although I really didn’t appreciate being cold-called out of the blue. She seemed like she was just doing her job. I nicely requested her to delete any information they had about me on their national database.

Got a call out of the blue and they were already calling me by name, even though I’m ex-directory. They were trying to get my opinion on whether we should stay in or leave the EU. I just told them to get lost.
