5 yearsTotal scam! I saw a random number calling and ignored it, letting it go to voicemail. This dodgy automated message said something like: "Press 1 to speak with an HMRC officer, otherwise a warrant will be issued in your name and you'll be arrested soon." Felt pretty sick listening to it even though I’m not easily fooled. What horrible people to try such tricks!1HMRC6 yearsI got a call with a recorded voice telling me HMRC was looking into fraud and I had to press 1. Pretty sure it’s a scam because there’s no way they’d say that on a message, especially with data protection rules and all that.HMRC6 yearsI got four missed calls and a voicemail saying there’s a warrant for my arrest from HMRC. Pretty sure that’s a load of rubbish since HMRC wouldn’t threaten like that, and if it was legit the police would have contacted me directly. I wouldn’t bother picking up if I were you. They were ringing from the number 01223 976470 too. Hope this saves someone else from stress!HMRC6 yearsI got a call saying I’m being investigated for tax fraud by HMRC, and they said if I didn’t pick up they'd send a warrant to arrest me. Complete con.7 yearsGot a voicemail from 01223649072 saying there was a £600 charge on my card and to hit 1 if it wasn’t me. My card doesn’t have overdraft anyway, so I knew it was a scam. Just hung up straight away.7 yearsTotally a scam, watch out!7 yearsAs soon as I picked up on my landline, which is on the Telephone Preference Service, the call just ended immediately. When I called back, the line said to report it as "the claim line" because of some weird charges showing up on my mobile. Seems like they’re using some dodgy number to cover up who they really are. Definitely feels like a sketchy scam and quite worrying.7 yearsGot a call from this number not long ago, it showed a Cambridge area code or whatever they call it. I picked up and waited, but nobody said a word before the call dropped. Felt like a scam to me, proper annoying. What a waste of time.Cambridge7 yearsGot a voicemail saying my internet was compromised and to press 1 to fix it. He talked really nicely and said he wasn’t trying to push any products, but it was pretty clear he thought we should upgrade. Just ended the call straight away.7 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be from energy savers or summat, talking about lowering my energy costs.
