I got a call for someone else, said wrong number. Then the bloke goes, “Oh sorry, but since you’re there, when did you last go on holiday to Spain?” I wasn’t interested and ended the call after a bit. Told him I’m disabled, and he says “all our hotels cater for disabled access.” Total scam, honestly!!!!!!

A woman rang me, claiming to represent the Olympics. She mentioned Spain, and since I haven't set foot there in the last fifty years, I just lost interest. I told her I wasn’t keen on continuing the conversation and hung up. I've now blocked the number, but even being on the Telephone Preference Service hasn’t seemed to help at all.

Echoing what others have mentioned, it appears this firm is inundating folks with unwanted calls. I was under the impression such practices could be curtailed. I've gone ahead and blocked the number myself, and I'm also on the Telephone Preference Service list. Having owned a timeshare previously, I can only surmise that's the source of my contact details.

Had some daft woman call my personal number, then started chatting away with someone else on her team like "Are you off now?" all while I was saying "hello" a bunch of times. What a pair of muppets disturbing me like that, talking in the background before just hanging up. Clearly, she must be smashing it at telesales... not! What a load of tossers. Blocked now, so no more bother from these idiots!

Got a call from some Scottish bloke claiming to be from the Valencia Tourist Board, saying they wanted to sort out a week at a new hotel since we've visited Spain before. We do have a timeshare, but it’s not in Spain and never will be. No idea how they got our number, but told them we're registered with the TPS so they shouldn’t be ringing us. I’ve blocked the number via PlusNet, so unless they switch numbers, they won’t get through again. Has anyone else reported them to TPS? With GDPR coming into force next year, they’re gonna be in trouble!

This number has been pestering me with calls on two occasions over the last couple of days, not to mention a similar incident earlier this month where I received back-to-back calls. They seem to ring at random hours throughout the day. Each time I’ve ignored it, as I've noticed there's a call centre's racket in the background but no messages left. I’ve got caller ID set up, and a little jingle alerts me to dodgy callers, so I’ve no intention of picking up!

Got a call around 13:15 from a woman with a foreign accent claiming to be from Exclusive Weeks. She mentioned we'd been to Spain before (not sure if she was guessing or had info, but she knew my name) and offered a free week at some new hotel. Didn’t let her go on - told her we’re on the TPS and called her out as a scammer, then ended the call.

This outfit is just a quick cash grab, luring you in with the promise of an affordable getaway, only to push you into a timeshare deal once you arrive at your destination. If you’re already tied to a timeshare, they’ll hound you about transferring it instead. The caller claimed to be in Benidorm and then Wakefield, but the reality is she’s actually based in Cambridge. Got a call from a woman demanding me by my full name, asking if I was still involved with DRI. She then wanted my email to send some info from the European Council about reclaiming money from DRI. I said no thanks and refused to share my email. She just hung up abruptly, no farewell or anything. Definitely a scam in my book. Really creeps me out how she got my details. Not long ago I got a call from this number, some person pretending to be from exclusive breakaways. Just got another call from the same number, this time a woman saying she was from the Timeshare Council. She wanted me to verify if I was still part of DRI. She asked if I'd heard about the 'new European Directive on Timeshare'. I said yes and ended the call.

It's quite baffling, isn’t it? I've read that this number has been flagged as a nuisance caller, yet nothing seems to be done about it. Is the Telephone Preference Service utterly ineffective in dealing with these sorts of annoying calls? Just today at 11 o'clock, I was interrupted in the middle of something important, only for the call to be abruptly ended the moment I answered. My daughter works nights and really can’t be having these unwelcome disruptions to her much-needed rest. Surely something should be done about this?

They called me by name and said a colleague had phoned me last year. Said their company [time share, didn’t specify] was having a clearance ‘sale’ for £99, and asked if I wanted in. Like usual, I told them to remove me from their list or I’d have to make a formal complaint. They hung up pretty quick after that!

I received a call from this number purporting to offer a week’s holiday for two at a 4 or 5-star hotel, either in Europe or beyond, for just £99.99 per person. When I declined the offer, they abruptly ended the call. A quick check revealed that this number is nothing but a scam attempting to push timeshares; they’re just after your banking information.

This firm clearly tried to make it seem like they were connected to a timeshare company we dealt with once a few years back. The number rings to an answering machine that says the company is Exclusive Breakaway. Their website is [#]exclusivebreakaway[###] and they have a freephone number 0800 024 3199. When I spoke to a bloke there, he defended his company's name but denied using other companies' names to gain access. That’s just not true. I reckon their salespeople probably do it on their own to boost sales. My tip would be to steer well clear of any company that pulls stunts like this.
