Got a call from what looked like a local number, the guy on the line had a proper northern accent, but there was loads of noise in the background like a busy call centre. I couldn’t really make out what he was saying or what the scam was about.

On 26th July 2023, I got a few calls from this number. Every time I answered, it was dead silent at first, but I could hear a background noise like a busy call centre. Normally, before anyone even managed to say ‘hello’, I ended up hanging up. I gave it a shot to ring back once, but it told me the voicemail was full and I couldn’t leave any message.
