Got a call from what looked like a local number, the guy on the line had a proper northern accent, but there was loads of noise in the background like a busy call centre. I couldn’t really make out what he was saying or what the scam was about.

I've had a string of calls from this number on the 26th of July, 2023. Each time I answer, it's just dead air on the line, though I can hear some sort of call centre racket in the background. By the time anyone decides to chime in with a 'hello', I've already cut the call. I did attempt to ring them back once, but it just said the voicemail was full, so leaving a message wasn’t an option. Quite baffling, really!
