I only found out about this after raising the constant stream of scam calls with my MP. It seems like scammers don’t want this info getting out there. If you just ignore these attempts and don't report them, don’t be surprised if the scams carry on. While you can report to 7726, your network provider, Ofcom, or the firm impersonated by the scammer, these might not always reach the police for proper criminal probes.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Amazon Prime, tried to get me to give out my card details. Felt really dodgy so I just hung up. Don’t think it was legit at all. Watch out for these kinds of scams!

It took a good while before he finally just said hello. Then he introduced himself as Edward from 118, saying he needed to chat with the business owner. When I told him they weren’t about, he asked if I was the one who handled the business finances! This isn't the first time either, I’ve gotten calls from different people with different names but they all end up asking the same thing.

He asked for the person running the business, who wasn’t about, then went on to ask if I had permission to handle money stuff for the company! They’ve phoned a bunch of times now, each time with a different name but always the same questions.
