I got a call with a voice that sounded proper British, claiming to be from "the bank". It said I had just made a few hundred quid payment on Amazon and an international transfer of about £1,400 was about to go through. Since I’d never done anything like that, they told me to press “1” to check the transactions. I just hung up straight away. This happened sometime during the week of the 11th August 2023.
