Classic scam move trying to sound techy, I heard the woman mention "Microsoft" and "your computer" which instantly gave it away. Another scam attempt, so I've blocked the number and removed it.

Absolutely dreadful connection, especially for our modern times! I could hardly make out what this woman, who sounded distinctly American, was on about. She claimed to be from Microsoft and wanted to discuss something concerning my computer.
Given that she wasn’t speaking from the UK, I strongly suspect it was a spoofed number.
No question it seemed like a scam attempt, but thankfully, it fell flat this time!
