This number 0122314995 kept ringing my landline, which is ex-directory and listed on the telephone preference service. I’ve no connections in Cambridge and they never leave any voicemail. When I tried calling back, it said the number wasn’t recognised. Luckily, my call blocker stopped me from getting bombarded. I’m going to report this to the direct marketing authority because these annoying calls are actually being paid for, even though it’s against UK law for companies to cold call. At least the commission seems to take action seriously against these nuisance callers.

Got a call from 0122314995 on my home phone which is unlisted and registered with the TPS. I don’t know anyone around Cambridge and they never left a voicemail. When I tried calling back, it said the number wasn’t valid. Luckily, my phone’s call blocker caught it, but I’m going to report them to the Direct Marketing Authority. Loads of these annoying calls seem to be from paid telemarketers spamming people, and since cold calling is banned here in the UK, at least the commission takes it seriously and does something about it.
