I keep getting calls around three times a week from these silent callers wanting me to answer a health survey. I've had a few chats with a chap who had an Indian accent. He claims to work for some medical survey department, but I'm not quite sure which one. He insisted on confirming whether I reside at 8---------- p---- t---- and bizarrely inquired about my age and any health issues I might have! I flatly refused to engage with his questions and requested to be removed from their calling list, as it's highly irritating. Later that evening, they rang again, this time asking for my husband. It was the same old routine, so he just cut the call off. In the last three days, we've been bombarded with around seven calls from this number, including three silent ones this morning. What on earth can we do to halt these incessant calls?

Following that awkward pause, a gentleman with an Asian accent, amidst the usual clatter of a call centre, finally broke through. He greeted me with, "Hello. Am I speaking with Mr [my surname]?" In response, I decided to remain completely mute. After a couple more attempts from him, he abruptly hung up. It strikes me as rather peculiar that, given GCHQ has access to phone call metadata, the Government could effortlessly pinpoint the originators of such bothersome calls and take appropriate measures, whether that be halting them, prosecuting the offenders, or whatever actions are justified under human rights and due process. Yet, here we are, and they seem to be taking no action whatsoever.
