I've been getting these annoying calls from someone claiming I was in an accident. The really annoying thing is that it’s not just from one number - loads of different numbers keep ringing me with the same story. I block them as soon as I can, but then another random number pops up and does the same. It’s getting pretty frustrating!

Hartinteligence? Sounds like one of those ambulance chaser scams. Some woman called asking about the date of my so-called "accident" and kept pressing for details. When I asked her to spell her name, and she couldn’t give much info, she just hung up on me. Definitely dodgy.

I got a call earlier this morning from a woman who was mumbling, couldn't figure out exactly what she was saying. She claimed I had been in an accident. I was fuming and told her off for ringing me up with such nonsense when I hadn’t been in any accident. Then she asked when it supposedly happened, and I guessed there was someone on the other end listening in. I told her I’d be reporting the call since I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, and that’s when she just cut me off.

Got a few of those calls saying something like ‘we have information that you were in a car crash which wasn’t your fault.’ This is the 4th time I’ve had that call now.

I usually don’t pick up for calls from unknown numbers. Like people have mentioned, if it’s something urgent, they’ll just leave a voicemail anyway. Also, I noticed the digits right after the area code started with a 9, which to me always rings alarm bells as a bit sketchy.

Got a call from some muppets trying to offer me compensation for a car accident I'd supposedly been involved in. I told 'em, “Yeah, and I bloody well died in it!” then hung up straight away and blocked their number. What a load of rubbish!
