She called me talking about some car crash. I told her I wasn’t involved in any. There was a pause, then she asked when it happened. I said there wasn’t any accident and then she just hung up. Felt like it was a recording.

Strangely enough, I just saw an accident and gave my phone number to the person involved. When I noticed a missed call from that number, I called back thinking it might be related. But when a voice on the other end said "the number you have dialled is not recognised," I knew it was a spam call. Blocked straight away!

Looks like one of those scam calls about fake accidents. I put the number on Truecaller app on my phone. I reckon it gets shared with other users and helps block them, at least till the scammer switches to another number. Can't believe they keep making these calls when everyone pretty much knows about this scam now. Still must be some folks who get caught out, sadly.

It’d be great if the papers actually called these scumbags out properly. Like, slap their full info up there for everyone - name, dob, address, even a photo, and why not throw in some family details too? I reckon some of the folks they’ve ripped off would be more than happy to take justice into their own hands. Especially when they’re fiddling with pensioners living in council flats - they should know better than to mess with them, or else they might find themselves seriously hurt!

Got a call about an accident that I wasn’t even part of. I ended the call before they could finish talking. From what I know, as soon as you tell them you’re not linked to it, they just drop the call. These kind of calls really annoy me and I think they’re quite rude.

@ guy named frank ferguson rang me from this number asking about a no-fault car crash. when i asked which car he meant, he couldn’t give me an answer and got really rude and aggressive instead. he claimed he had info from all state helpline. i asked again about the car and then he just hung up on me. felt really dodgy to me.
