This number’s called me a couple times, asking if I’d been in an accident. I said yeah, actually this morning they had to amputate my leg, and if they call again I’ll come down to Birmingham and bash ‘em over the head with the bit they cut off. Didn’t hear back after that!

My dad’s phone number begins with 0121, so I picked up thinking it might be him or one of his mates. But just like others said, it was some scam about me being in a crash. I hung up right away. That was about a month ago. They rang me again today, 14-3-17, but I just didn’t answer. Fingers crossed they don’t bother again!

At the beggining its a prerecorded msg with pauses added to make it seem real. Pretty much trying to catch folks who've been in car crashes.

I've got no one I know from Birmingham, nor anyone wanting to be from there, so I just ignored the call. After that, I went ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from someone saying I’d had a car crash, which I definitely haven’t. When I asked who it was, the woman said her name was either Kate or Kelly, but the call was so fuzzy I couldn’t really hear. She hung up when I pushed for more info. Just ignore if you get a call like this - it’s obviously a scam.

Some woman called saying I'd been in a car crash that wasnt my fault - Im only 17, never owned or driven a car properly, so it was obviously a scam. Even after I told her that, she kept pushing with questions.

Its some young lady who calls my phone all the time, saying "i've been told you was in a car crash but it wasnt your fault” (which it wasnt, i just played along to see where it went). Then they put me through to a bloke and just as he started saying who he was, you can suddenly hear a bunch of people in the background like a call centre, feels like its a recording or something ;p He wanted my car reg number but i just told em to stop phoning me and they hung up. Definitely fishy, for sure a scam.

My wife got a call from 01219075709 and a woman on the line said, "Your husband’s been in an accident, you need to come to the hospital ASAP. But first, I need some info." My wife kept asking "Who is this?" a few times and then the woman just ended the call.
