Got a text claiming to be EE about sending a 5G SIM. The message looked legit, like it was from EE’s usual number and even the email matched up. But it was all a con - EE don’t ring you out of the blue like that at all! Watch out, it’s a scam trying to trick you.

Got a call from someone claiming to be EE, but definitely a scam.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from EE saying they could upgrade me to their 5G Ultra plan. Then they asked for a two-factor authentication code that I was supposed to have received from EE. It felt dodgy to me because I think they want to hack into your account and mess around with your details. Seriously, don’t give them that code and get in touch with EE directly if you’re unsure.
