A lady called me and had my name and address from like a decade ago. Since then, I’ve got remarried, so obviously her info was completely wrong. She kept asking me to prove it was me on the line. I asked what she wanted, and she just kept saying she needed me to confirm my identity first. I told her I wasn’t interested at all in whatever she was selling or saying, so I wasn’t confirming anything and to not call me again. Feels like they might be digging through ancient phone books or something. Pretty sure it was just a scam.

Got a call about a survey regarding insulation. The caller was a woman with what sounded like an Asian accent - maybe Chinese? When I asked how they got my number, she just brushed off the question. Her accent was pretty hard to catch. I told her to send me the info in writing since I don’t answer unsolicited calls. She replied by telling me to have a nice day and then hung up. Don’t expect any mail from them. I’m on the do-not-call list, but as David Essex sang in War of the Worlds, ‘They just keep coming back!’
