This bloke wouldn't stop ringing, said he was from some electrical firm. Then he tried chatting about car finance, which I've never even got. I told him straight, he's called the wrong number and that I'm a cop with Essex Police, but he just didn’t quit. Ended up having to block the number. The voice sounded like it might have been from India or Iran or somewhere like that.

So they tried that whole 'you've been in a crash' thing on me. Proper dodgy, trying to freak you out like that! Luckily I caught on quick, did my own digging before answering. Guess it’s just another one of those scams going around these days. Keep your wits about you folks!

Had a crash with someone. I said thanks for getting in touch and asked if she was ringing to own up to hitting me and what sort of compensation she was thinking about. Then she just cut me off.
