for the past few days ive had calls from a number pretending to be 02, so ive just gone ahead and blocked em now

This number has rung me at least 13 times over the past three days. I’ve blocked it already, but it still manages to appear when it calls. Really annoying!

I picked up, suspecting it’d be someone pretending to be from O2. Turned out to be a call from some overseas call centre claiming to represent O2. I told them to remove me from their list, something I’ve asked for several times already. Then the caller probed why I wasn’t interested, and I just told her straight up that she was running a scam. She got all defensive and denied it. I warned her if she didn’t hang up, I’d report her. She actually got huffy, saying I only had to ask to be taken off their list, then she ended the call. Wish it were that simple!

Got a ring from +441218230499 and the caller said she was with O2, but I reckon she had an accent from somewhere in Asia. Felt a bit dodgy, like she might want to use my voice for some kind of scam. I've already been ripped off before, lost all my savings to scammers, so this really worries me. I’m especially thinking about older people - they’re so easy to trick. Someone should definitely check this out.

I can’t stand having to keep blocking these calls over and over. They just switch one number and try again. When you pick up, they’re clearly from abroad, struggling with English, and pretending to be from O2. Best thing is just to hang up and then block and report them straight away.
