They called but didn’t bother leaving any voicemail.

He called me up saying he was from the council about some repairs needed at my house, and somehow he already knew my name. He claimed to be ringing from Manchester, but the number showed up as Birmingham. I told him straight he was trying to scam me. He got a bit ratty and denied it, saying I probably get loads of scam calls anyway. I told him to keep chatting since at least that meant he wasn’t pestering someone else. That seemed to wind him up, and he just hung up on me.

I’m grateful that there’s no signal for mobiles where I live, so I didn’t have to deal with any annoying texts from them! Would’ve been a right pain otherwise.
