Received a call from 141, and it connected immediately to what sounded like a busy office environment. There was background chatter, but not a single word was uttered to me before they abruptly disconnected. Quite peculiar!

Some bloke, sounded young and spoke pretty clearly but with a bit of an accent, rang me on my mobile and knew my first name straight away. He asked about any repairs I'd had done, assuming I was renting through the council or a housing association. I told him I wasn’t and got the feeling he was up to something dodgy, so I just ended the call. The same number, 01218230256, has tried twice before, but the call dropped as soon as I picked up.

A few days back, I got a call from a number almost the same, but the last digit was 6 instead of 7. Neither of the calls left any voicemail. When I picked up, the person was really hard to catch, but they were saying something about me having a council house and some damage. Obviously just a scam, cos I don’t even have a council house!
