The caller had a really heavy Asian accent and somehow knew my name. She said the company was called “bps solution” or something like that, but I honestly couldn’t catch it properly. I asked her to repeat herself, like “sorry, what was that?” and then she just hung up on me.

Got a call claiming it was from the government about some PPI money, said it was linked to Black Horse Finance. I asked to speak to a manager and was told his name was David Cross, but the voice was Asian and he gave me a mobile number to ring back on - 07418355157. I told them I wanted to verify all the details first. They reckoned there was £2000 ready to be paid into my account. Haha, yeah right!

I received a call claiming that I had a pending PIP payment owed to me. They requested my bank details, including my sort code and account number, which I regretfully provided, thinking they were legitimate. However, when they asked for my full card number, I hesitated and decided I would call them back to verify their authenticity. At that moment, the line went dead. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Today at about 1:29 in the afternoon, I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming he worked for an energy firm. He told me the government was providing free boiler swaps and insulation for homes. When I mentioned my gas boiler was two decades old and I don’t get any benefits, he just said "Cheers" and ended the call. Since it’s Friday and I'm feeling kind, I'll mark it as 'unknown'.
