I got a missed call from this number but there was no voicemail or anything. When I tried calling back, the line just dropped straight away and wouldn’t connect. Sounds dodgy to me, as real callers usually have numbers you can ring back. Pretty sure it was some sort of spam or scam, so I went ahead and blocked it.

I reckon these calls are just to check if someone picks up, then later they either bombard you with spam or pass your number to other scammers as an active contact.
