Got a call from a number with a 927 area code - which I don’t think is a thing in Birmingham. Didn’t pick up. Nowadays, I just leave any unknown numbers go straight to voicemail. If it’s something important, they’ll leave a message. Otherwise, they just keep ringing if you pick up. Ignore enough calls like that and they usually give up. But of course, someone else might catch the next one. Best bet is to look up the number before bothering. If it’s legit, they’ll ring again or you can always call back. Hope more people do this so these calls stop happening.

I got a call from this number but didn’t pick up because I’m pretty sure Birmingham doesn’t use the 927 area code. These days, I just don’t answer calls from numbers I don’t know. If it was really urgent, they’d leave a voicemail or something.

I've had a few calls this week from a lady named Clair claiming to be with Nations Survey. She said she was calling from India but when I asked why the number showed a Birmingham code, she just hung up. This was the third time they tried, each time from a different number. I've gone ahead and blocked them now.

It’s weird how they get rude and start swearing even if you just politely say no thanks. The accent, whether Indian or whatever, is hard to understand and their English is pretty poor too.

So this bloke calling himself "Shane" rings me up, had a bit of a back and forth when I didn’t really give him any info. Next thing, he’s throwing insults my way like “white piece of rubbish” and some nasty swear words including “mother f#### c.t”. Got a call from a bloke named Kevin with a pretty thick Indian accent. He said he was ringing from Gladstone Brooks about some PPI refund. As soon as i told him i never applied for anything with Gladstone Brooks, he just cut me off straight away.

I just got a ring from this number, but they hung up straight away. I’m now hanging around, waiting in case they try again. Whenever I get calls like this, I take my time and chat their ear off over a good cuppa, then ask them what’s in it for me, how much will they pay? Usually, they drop the call just a couple of seconds later. Here’s a little trick I use - I tell them my email is actually the one for my local police station. For example, [email protected]. And sure enough, they cut me off within seconds again. 😂😂🤣

Whenever I get those annoying spam calls, I always play along and give them a fake email. I tell them my surname is Hunt. When they ask for my first name, I say "Uarak" and then provide a bogus email like [email protected]. It’s a bit of fun and drives them mad! 😄😉

Gladstone Brooks, what a load of rubbish! They don’t handle PPI claims anymore. Plus, these calls always come from Indian people with really English sounding names. If you’re thinking about claiming PPI now, you’re way too late - that finished ages ago. Honestly, these calls need to be stopped for good.

So this bloke called Albert Wilson rings me up, quite a dodgy name if you ask me, especially considering my accent. He reckons I’m owed £1826 for some PPI claim - yeah right, sounds too familiar with these scammers. I decided to humour him, even though I’ve never claimed anything. He was babbling about sending me a cheque but first needed me to verify some info, starting with my bank’s sort code. I asked him why he needed that and told him I could just make up any numbers. Didn’t sit well with him - he got annoyed and just hung up. What a scumbag, honestly, these types need to be tracked down and dealt with!
