I recently received a missed call from this number. When I attempted to return the call, I was greeted by a pre-recorded message stating, “You’ve received a call from the housing disrepair team, reaching out to provide you with complimentary guidance regarding your outstanding disrepair matters.” It's quite clear this is a scam, as I’ve never experienced any housing problems of that sort!

This guy named Mark rang me, sounded Indian, said he was from some housing repair scheme. He said I might be owed compensation for property damage, but I’ve got no damage at all. Feels dodgy to me.

I couldn’t quite get the name of the company the person said they were from, but it had something to do with a government programme aimed at sorting out delays in fixing council houses due to the Covid situation. He went through loads of possible issues the programme could sort and asked if any of them applied to me. I told him I didn’t have any repairs pending. I’m pretty sure I also told him off before hanging up!

someone called me saying they were from the housing disrepair department about a repair issue. ive never reported anything to the council tho. they kept talking about compensation for repairs, but i dont even live in the area code that number is from, im in 01603. as soon as they said who they were and I saw the number, i knew it was dodgy. i just hung up and blocked the caller. weirdly tho, they did know my name but they could’ve just found that from anywhere really.
