I received a missed call from a local 0121 number, which turned out to be Connells estate agents. Curiously, I was just in the process of selling a property with them, and it had already been sold. When I returned the call, the chap I spoke to wasn't referring to my sale at all. Instead, he was inquiring if I was interested in renting out a property. I had to clarify that I'd just sold it through their services. It was evident that he was a bit taken aback! In hindsight, I should’ve trusted my instinct not to engage since I usually ignore unknown missed calls, especially when no message is left.

I typically avoid responding to calls from numbers I don't recognise, but having recently tried to configure my new phone, I've found myself without a good portion of my contacts. That’s why I decided to pick up the call. Unfortunately, the line went dead before anything was said. I've since taken the liberty to block that number.

I received a phone call from this number, and to my surprise, they knew my home address! They were inquiring whether we were interested in renting out our property. It all feels rather sketchy, to be honest.

Connells Estate Agents is clearly on the hunt for more clients.
