Got a call from this number today. The lady knew my name but wouldn’t tell me which company she was from. She mentioned my husband, so I asked what the call was about. She said it was about his life insurance. When I said he was right there with me, she just ended the call. Quite strange!

Got a call on my landline, and the bloke already knew my first name. Said he was ringing for some major life insurance firms to go over my life insurance. Didn’t catch which company he was with though. Asked why I took out the policy in the first place (even though he probably didn’t know if I even had one). My home phone got a call from 01218037734. The person on the other end, who had an asian kind of accent, claimed to be from Amazon saying I’d been charged £79.99 for a yearly Prime membership. I told him I didn’t want to pay that way and that I’d check on the Amazon website myself. He quickly interrupted saying I didn’t need to do that and that they’d help me out. He was really pushy and when I ended the call, they rang straight back. Obviously, I just ignored the second call.

This bloke said his name was "Derek" and claimed to be an insurance adviser. When I asked more, he said it was about an existing life insurance for my partner. Thing is, my partner doesn’t have life insurance and isn’t interested either. This number has called me loads of times before. I’m on the TPS list but obviously they just ignore that.

Got a call from this firm saying they were my insurance company, but they only had an outdated address and knew my name. When I asked where they were calling from, the guy mentioned something like nsure protector or whatever. I never trusted they were legit insurance folks. Be careful, total scammers!!

I asked him to repeat who he was, he did, but then I told him I didn’t have a policy with them. He said sorry for the mix-up and just hung up straight away. They told me exactly who they were and even explained all the FCA regulations, which made me a bit more comfortable as I was unsure at first. John was really supportive and helped me sort out insurance with MetLife. Because I’m 36 and have cancer, loads of companies turned me down. But when I chatted to John, he showed me how I could get a pre-paid funeral plan plus some cover for broken bones or hospital stays. I can get £100 a day while paying just £8 each month to MetLife. I’d definitely recommend this insurance broker, they were great.

They really helped me save some money, their partners are L&G and Aviva. I used to be with L&G paying £85 a month until I was 70 for £120k. I wasn’t too happy at first but now I’m back with L&G, which I liked better, paying £55, and it’s covered till I’m 90 for £150k. So, overall, I’m quite pleased. Cheers, Lisa

I received a rather unpleasant phone call this afternoon from a rather abrupt woman who insisted on chatting about my insurance. She bombarded me with questions regarding the types of insurance I hold and my annual premiums. When I inquired if she was conducting a survey, she seemed to falter and claimed she was merely reaching out to present me with superior insurance options. Since I had never heard of the agency she claimed to represent, I courteously declined and promptly searched for the company online. To my dismay, I discovered it was a complete sham. A quick check on the number revealed it had been flagged as a dubious insurance scam! I’m relieved I didn’t fall for that trick!

She couldn’t even get my name right at the start, then just before hanging up, she muttered ‘oh god.’ When she phoned back, I told her not to be rude with that comment, and she said she was just annoyed with her computer. I said fine, and then she snaps at me not to be rude, threatening to end the call - which she did. No way that was Aviva! I’m sure they wouldn’t have someone who barely speaks proper English or sounds like they’re from a rough area representing them!
