I reckon these are foreign scammers, I met someone on an app. I wanted to FaceTime them, but oh, their camera "wasn't working"! They said they were from the States but rang me with a thick Nigerian accent, struggling with English. Needless to say, I blocked them straight away. Ladies, be cautious who you chat with online - always insist on a FaceTime call to spot these dodgy types!

Got calls from the same bloke all week, first thing it’s this offer about some lady’s cookbook for a quid trial, no strings but might end up with a monthly fee. When he asked for my bank details, I gave him a piece of my mind and told him where to stick it. Most frustrating is they’ve got my email and home address somehow. He spoke all posh so I nearly thought he was legit. Calls keep coming, I’m ignoring them and they never bother leaving a voicemail. Total scam, in my opinion.

They won't stop ringing my phone, I reckon it's time to just put them on block.

Got calls from this number each day this week. Picked up the first time, and the guy said because I signed up for “The Lady,” I could get a cookbook for £1 as a trial, no strings attached, but then might end up with a monthly subscription. When he asked for my direct debit info, I wasn’t very polite and told him exactly where to shove it. What’s more annoying is they’ve got my email and home address. He spoke with a posh accent, so it sounded legit. They keep calling but I’m not bothering to answer, and they don’t leave any messages. Totally a scam.

This number just rang me, I answered but no one said anything. I tried raising my voice but still nothing, then suddenly the call got cut off.

I ignored the calls about 16 or 17 times this week, kept meaning to check who it was but kept forgetting. Managed to look it up today and it's definitely some dodgy scammers - I'm blocking the number for good. Honestly, the police should step in at some stage, it's disgusting how they prey on older folks who are more trusting and don’t always question it. Proper low lives, feeling pretty sick about it.

They said they were from Which[###][###] magazine and even knew my old name and address. At first, I believed them, but when they started asking for my bank details like sort code and account number, I figured it had to be a scam.
