Picked up the phone to a bloke who was fairly polite at first, but then he started telling me I could get free Arsenal season tickets for next year because they were trying to fill the stands. I said, “Look, I might be daft, but not daft enough to watch that rubbish lot.” He actually agreed and said he’d remove my number from their list. It really shows how much nonsense some of these companies are trying to shove on people nowadays. Arsenal tickets, seriously? The nerve. There’s only one proper team in North London, and it’s not that lot.

Annoying call - I answered and this person asked if I lived at the time address, then read it out and said my package was being sent. I told them to take my info off their list and they just said "you're already gone mate" before hanging up. Definitely steer clear of these scammy phone calls. Proper knobheads.

I got one of those scam calls where they pretended to be a real company. They use something called spoofing, right? Basically, they ring you from a computer and fake the number so it looks like it’s from a proper business, but it’s not them at all. Very sneaky way to hide who’s really calling.

Got a call from this number, and the person on the line claimed to be from some travel agency. They said I won a competition I supposedly entered at a travel expo I attended a few months ago. I actually hung around for about 10 minutes listening to them going on about how lucky I was to win a week’s holiday. When I started getting suspicious and asked all the hard questions - like if there were any upfront charges, the specifics on how to claim the prize, and what was included (flights, accommodation, that sort of thing) - they asked me to give it a thought and said they’d email me the details. They even tried to make me agree to delay my choice and pay a refundable booking fee of £90! 😂 Obviously, I never bought into it but kept chatting because they sounded pretty convincing, having some info that seemed legit. It only becomes clear after digging deeper that it’s a dodgy timeshare pitch, so watch out if you get a call like this.

When I checked their website, they mentioned folks have been getting calls claiming to be from them, but apparently it’s just scammers pretending.
