It’s quite the nuisance, isn’t it? Quite often, I find these Indian callers using a variety of UK landline and mobile numbers to get through. The scam seems to revolve around fishing for information-once you engage, they pass your details on to other dubious outfits masquerading as respectable businesses in the UK. When I received a call, they asked ridiculous questions considering I’m supposedly 98-like, would I be interested in life insurance or a funeral plan at my age! They even inquired about equity release! Following that, I was inundated with follow-up calls from UK firms. It’s a right palaver to try and block them, as they simply switch to a different number the following week. Best to respond with whimsy and declare you’re a sprightly 110, claiming the title of the oldest resident in the UK, like some sort of Lord Lucan!

Got a call from this number on my phone. After about 12 seconds of dead silence - no sounds or anything - it just cut off. When I rang back, a recorded message came on saying I was invited to take part in a survey from some company called ‘Beneficial’, whatever that means.

They just hung up on me, and when I tried ringing back, there was a voicemail telling me to ring 01253808409 to get my number taken off. Rang that number and then that same number called me again. I've blocked both the original and that so-called "suggested" number now.

A firm saying their name is beneficial have been ringing me about 8 times over the past half year, supposedly for some lifestyle survey. I've told them to take my number off their list and mentioned GDPR, but they just keep calling. The last couple of calls, I asked for their office address. On the first one, they just ended the call right away. On the second, they mumbled something like 2-22 London Road, England, but when I pressed for the postcode, they cut off. I’m really trying to get a proper address so I can report them for GDPR violations.

I had a rather peculiar call from someone claiming to represent a company named Beneficial-frankly, I’ve never come across them before. They were rather keen on confirming my personal information for what they termed marketing reasons. Unfortunately, the details they had on file were all wrong, but similar to what others have experienced, they were quite adamant about not removing my information. After a bit of back and forth, the caller seemed to lose interest and simply ended the call. Quite the nuisance, really!

Got a call from a Filipino lady claiming she was from Beneficial. I was using my landline and she kept ringing until I picked up.
