Some woman rang up asking for my husband about some web design thing. I asked who she was and for a contact number, then I said, "Oh, which part of Birmingham are you from? I lived there as a student once." She went quiet for a bit and then said she was calling from Ireland. The number that showed on my phone was 01422 249856, which made me suspicious. I just hung up after that.

This is about domain details that anyone can see on WHOIS after you register a site. They’ll keep ringing and emailing trying to sell you web stuff. I just made a separate Gmail for the domain so I can easily clear out all the spam in bulk every now and then. Not really sure what to do about the phone number though. Maybe buy a cheap SIM, activate it, and store it somewhere just in case.

This firm is really annoying, they keep ringing me non-stop so I finally picked up. Some woman with an Indian accent answered but she didn't seem to understand my questions and just went on about selling website services. What she didn’t realise is I own a thriving marketing agency that already provides websites to clients who contact us directly because we’re that good. Any business that relies on cold calls to push their services is best avoided, in my opinion. I asked her to take my number off their list and she said she would, but I’m not holding my breath.

He inquired if I could hear him, to which I responded affirmatively, yet after that, the call abruptly disconnected. These calls seem to come in during the morning hours.
