Just received yet another dodgy call, this time from a Birmingham number - first Guildford, then Dartford; it’s becoming rather evident there’s a connection here! It seems my private, ex-directory number, which I’ve registered with the TPS, has fallen into the wrong hands. Honestly, what’s the use of Action Fraud, the NCSC, BT, ICO, or any consumer help forums, including Which and Citizens Advice, if nothing is done to bring these crooks to justice? To top it off, I’ve been inundated with email scams as well, and those agencies, which often overlap in function, are utterly useless!

First Darlford, then Guildford, and now a Birmingham number popping up - you can see the pattern, can’t you? It’s gotta be the same bunch behind all these calls. Even though my number is private, ex-directory and signed up with TPS, it’s clearly been passed around somewhere. What’s the point of reporting to Action Fraud, NCSC, BT, ICO, or any of those consumer groups when no one seems to actually do anything about it? They're as useless as the endless scam emails flooding my inbox. Feels like these agencies just talk a good game but never follow through.
