4 yearsI received a rather puzzling call from a lady named Anne Phillips on the 8th of June, 2022. She claimed I was indebted to Home Care Services for a TV repair plan, a service of which I've never heard! I don’t even possess a TV repair scheme with anyone, so I made that clear. Yet, she was adamant that my last payment was recorded on the 10th of May, 2020. Fortunately, I had my accounts book at hand and, lo and behold, there were no transactions whatsoever related to them for that date or any other in May, as I had suspected. When I pointed this out, she went on to threaten me with a charge of £130 if I didn’t cough up. My frustration was mounting, so I demanded the phone number of their Head Office, which she provided as 0120 6803106 - a number that rang alarm bells for me since it was linked to Colchester. After putting up with her nonsense long enough, I firmly stated that this was clearly an attempt at scamming, and I hung up. I found online that this number was supposedly legitimate for Your Homecare, but something felt off.
