I've been receiving calls for the past three years regarding a renewal fee for my television service. I informed them that I already had it sorted, but they continued to assert that I was still in a contract! I requested to terminate the agreement, but they quoted me an exit charge of £79. I've attempted to search for this company online, but it appears they might not even be legitimate. I refused to pay the fee, and now they've mentioned that a manager will be contacting me later today.

I received a call from a firm identifying themselves as Homecare, claiming they were updating my washing machine insurance. When I inquired which machine they meant, they just responded with 'any washing machine' - quite vague, don't you think? Whenever I mentioned that I had replaced a device, they would name another completely different one. They went on about how, since I hadn't filed any claims, they were slashing my premium, but then also insisted I had three years of payments remaining, totalling over £300! It definitely gives off a dodgy vibe.
