This has been such a nightmare, they ring from loads of different numbers and always ask for me as if we’re mates or something. Sounds like some dodgy debt collector pretending to be a friend. I’ve told them off loads of times to stop, but they’re relentless. I keep blocking their numbers but they just keep coming back. In the end, I’ve started blowing a whistle like crazy whenever they call, hoping they finally get the message!!!

Scam alert! They called me by my name, so I reckon they got it from some kind of database leak. Definitely trying to pull off a credit card scam.

The person on the phone was speaking way too quickly, couldn’t catch most of what they said. I think they mentioned a debt centre or something before hanging up abruptly. The number’s now blocked.

Got a call about some unsecured debt, right? I asked them where they got my details from, and they told me something called DRF, like Debt Resolution Forum or something. Thing is, DRF doesn't actually share or store personal info of people, as far as I know. When I questioned the caller about it, they just got all defensive and said it was from "The Database". So I just ended the call and blocked the number.

I got a call from 01217900709 today, 18/09/2024 at around 10.30am. The woman on the phone knew our names and claimed we were behind on timeshare maintenance fees. We haven’t owned a timeshare or received any bills from Silverpoint or anyone else in over 8 years. She said she was calling from Garratt & Co. and sounded quite pushy. A few weeks ago, a man rang with a similar message, even giving numbers for a supposed Tenerife court officer. We looked this number up on this site and have reported the call.

Our timeshare company gave us a heads up about a scam going around, trying to get people to pay fake maintenance fees. Be careful out there!

Got a call today claiming Wyndham are suing former Club la Costa members over old fees. Total rubbish, feels like a scam to me.

Got a call today from some dodgy lot claiming I owed money on a timeshare I never even had. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

My mum got a call from this number, claiming they were from Hilton holiday rentals. I reckon they might have got her details off Google or something.

Got a call from this number earlier today. I missed picking up and it ended just before my voicemail kicked in. Feels like one of those automated calls from a call centre, so could very well be a scam. Would be careful with it.

Yesterday, I got a call from this number but they didn’t leave any voicemail. I only noticed it when I was blocking a very similar number this morning. The one from yesterday was 012117900704, and the one I blocked today is 01217900709. I’ve blocked both now and I’m convinced they’re scams. Would recommend blocking them both.

They only gave me bits of info and didn’t fully explain who they were. Said there was some issue with a payment to a firm I deal with - totally news to me. Then started going on about taking me to court.
