I mentioned that the machine in question is no longer in my possession and that I therefore don’t see the need for any insurance. To my disbelief, she insisted that I was still liable for the outstanding amount of £189. I couldn’t locate the initial payment from 2020 that she claimed I had made, so I decided to block the number. To add to the confusion, she provided me with another contact number, but when I tried it, I was greeted by a voicemail telling me to ring back during working hours, which are listed as 9am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Seeing as it’s Tuesday at 10:30am, I can only assume this is yet another dodgy ploy.4 yearsI just got off the phone with someone who mentioned they’ve withdrawn money from my account.
