I recently received a call regarding a car accident, and it turned out to be a scam related to PPI. What a nuisance!

Got a call asking if I’d been in a car crash. I said no, then they started telling me about free cash I could get. Proper dodgy, watch out for these scammers!

I rang them back, but at first the messages just said the number wasn’t available. There was no company name, no voicemail with choices, and definitely no annoying hold music. When someone finally answered, I asked for Stuart. It was clear they weren’t a native English speaker, and I had a hunch it was the same bloke who had called me earlier. He kept insisting, three times, that he was Stuart and there wasn’t any other Stuart. Then I changed my tone a bit, pretending like I knew who I was speaking to, and he suddenly claimed he was in the bathroom. If that doesn’t scream scam, then I don’t know what does.

Just like others have pointed out, this bloke Stuart Wright, who’s from 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham, is the real crook here. All those numbers are tied to him and his address. Makes sense why he’s got a fancy big house - he’s been ripping people off left, right and centre!
