Got a call way too early in the morning, but no one spoke when I answered. Proper silent call, it was.

They usually ring up just to trick you into giving your card info for some fake insurance deal.

I got a call from some kind of call centre, you could hear loads of talking in the background. The person on the line was looking for a Mr Rawlingson, but I told them no one here has that name. They just hung up straight away. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from AST claiming my son's warranty on his washing machine was up. They actually had his name right, but he's never even owned a washing machine before! Strange, right?

I received a rather suspicious call from a chap named Jonathon, who was trying to sell me a cover plan for my washing machine. He quoted a rather appealing price of £66 for three years' worth of coverage, including call-outs and whatnot, but insisted that I pay immediately. It all seemed a bit too convenient, if you catch my drift. When I probed him about the name of his company, he became quite cagey and sensing that I wasn’t about to fall for his spiel, he abruptly hung up! Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I got a call saying my washing machine plan was about to end, but that’s not true at all. Quite misleading.

So, someone called me from AFT or something like that - couldn’t hear clearly - and kept saying my washing machine’s 3-year warranty had ended. Then they tried to sell me some “improved” plan. Thing is, I never had any cover for the washing machine in the first place. Felt like a total rip-off.

Kept getting calls but as soon as I picked up the phone, the caller would just hang up. Decided to check the number and found out it's linked to a dodgy scam pushing domestic appliance insurance. Best to just ignore it.

Got a call about renewing insurance for my washing machine costing 8 quid a month. Was about to say yes, but then I checked my paperwork and realised I haven't had any insurance on that machine for like five years! Nearly got me there.

I received a rather suspicious call the other day. The person on the other end had all my details, including my name and address, which immediately set off alarm bells. They claimed it was time to renew my washing machine insurance, but when I queried why they hadn't reached out via email-as is usually the case for renewals-they abruptly ended the conversation. Quite clearly a scam, in my opinion!!!

So, this number rang me yesterday, but unfortunately, no one was around to pick up. Today, they tried again and requested to speak to Mr or Mrs (last name). I explained that neither were home since they were at their jobs and mentioned I was their daughter. Just as I was gearing up to enquire about who was on the other end, the caller abruptly cut the line. Quite peculiar, if you ask me...

One downside is when your washing machine cover suddenly gives out today, that’s really frustrating.

Pretty sure it was ast. A woman rang claiming it was a service call for my washing machine, but the thing is, I sold that house over seven years ago! Then she just cut the call without a single word. Strange!

Got a call saying it was for washing machine breakdown cover, but I told the bloke straight up it was nonsense as I’ve never had any sort of breakdown cover on my appliances, then just ended the call. Pure rubbish if you ask me.

So I got a call earlier about renewing my washer dryer insurance. The person on the phone was trying to sell some kind of deal. I looked up the phone number afterwards and it definitely wasn’t from the company I usually have my cover with. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

I got a call from some bloke saying my washing machine warranty was running out and he could sort a new one for less. He said he was from a firm called ast or summat. Thing is, we bought our washing machine from John Lewis about 5 years back, and only had the original 3-year warranty from them which ran out yonks ago. I tried looking online for this ast company but couldn’t find a thing. Smells like a dodgy call trying to pinch card details or something. Definitely felt a bit fishy to me.

Some woman rang me up claiming to be from AST, asking about some kind of cover for my washing machine. Honestly, I’ve never come across AST before, and I don’t have any sort of insurance on the washer, which is pretty old now, must be around 7 years. When I told her I’m likely just gonna get a new one this year, she was quite polite and said thanks before she ended the call.

I received a call from this particular number, and to my surprise, they used my name. They claimed it was in relation to a washing machine linked to a property I moved out of ages ago.
