About quarter of an hour ago, I got a call from someone sounding Indian but speaking with an American accent. They said my computer was infected with a virus and I had to press 1 to reach their technician straight away. When I hung up, the same number popped up on my phone again. I let it ring out and then checked it - turns out the number isn’t even active. Looks like another dodgy scam using a fake number to trick people.
